the Founder
George C. Sackett is founder and Managing
Director of NETWORX Corporation.
He has been involved with computers and telecommunications for fifteen
years. In that time he has participated in establishing, merging,
designing, managing and implementing networks for the financial, manufacturing,
entertainment, communications and transportation industries.
Mr. Sackett has solid experience
with all facets of corporate systems and networks, merging legacy systems
and networks to multi-protocol client/server systems and networks, multi-platform
network management and process re-engineering. Through the years
he has gained the professional skill sets to encompass business/operational
sensitivity, vendor management, budget planning, strategic/tactical planning,
requirements gathering, team building skills, leadership abilities and
personnel management experience.
Mr. Sackett has published five
books with McGraw-Hill covering SNA/VTAM/NCP, TCP/IP, and LAN/WAN. His
most recent publication with McGraw-Hill is titled ATM and Multiprotocol
Networking. He has contributed articles and commentaries for NetworkWorld
and IBM Internet Journal discussing network architectures, management,
performance and design. He was a presenter at the 1991 International
Help Desk Conference in San Diego, California, and has taught several classes
on networking. Additionally, he has a Masters of Science degree from
Polytechnic University in Management of Technology.
