Case study: World Leading Manufacturer of Chip Wafer Machinery
The company has national and international network connections. NETWORX was asked to provide documentation, planning and design services for their data center move from New York to Phoenix. The customer's plan called for two T1 circuits and one router without network recovery at a monthly cost of approximately $32K/Mth.
NETWORX, as part of its service, reviewed the plan and design to be implemented. After analysis, NETWORX consultants determined that the use of T1s was excessive for their needs through performance studies and that one router was not sufficient for their required throughput. NETWORX proposed a more suitable network design with network disaster recovery built into the design. The resulting network design from NETWORX provided efficient bandwidth use, network redundancy and network recovery at a $10K/Mth savings over the original network design. As part of the service, NETWORX assisted in project management for implementing the new network design.

Case Study: Leading Manufacturer of Electrical Devices
This company computing is based on AS/400 and was networked to its remote locations using multipoint 56 Kbps lines. NETWORX was asked to provide a strategic plan for their migration to a LAN based multiprotocol application environment. The research and analysis produced a strategic plan that directs the company from a hierarchical host-centric to a network-centric computing environment.
NETWORX followed up with design and disaster recovery plan documents. The design plans were presented to various network outsourcing providers and NETWORX evaluated the proposals to the customer. The resulting solution was a frame relay network using Cisco routers and Sprint as the managed network services provider. The design saved the company $120K/year over their current outsourcing provider design and proposal while providing the ability to integrate multiprotocol networking with the future of using voice of the same frame relay network.
